I am working on invertebrate marine population genetics, connectivity and phylogeography. My main interest stands in understanding the evolutionnary processes driving genetic diversity and speciation in coral reef associate bivalves. To answer these questions I combine field work, observation studies, molecular biology and genetic statistics.

Searching for genes from the Antennapedia familly in different species of Homoscleromorpha (sponges)

This project of was conducted in the Marine station of Endoume DIMAR in Marseille in 2005 under the supervision of Dr. Carole Borchiellini.
The aim was to search for genes involved in the developmental process of bilaterians.
The techniques consisted of amplifying candidate genes from the antennapedeia familly obtained from a cDNA library, cloning, sequencing and  reconstructing the gene phylogeny.
